Considered by Alfred Brendel as one of the three greatest pianists of the century, this is the second of two compilations devoted to the Swiss pianist Edwin Fischer.

Including some rare recordings as well as ones previously unreleased on CD, this compilation incorporates two concerto performances, including one of the Concerto in D minor, from 1933, with Fischer himself conducting from the keyboard.
