RECORDING INFORMATION
One of the most beloved figures in the musical world in the 20th Century, Myra Hess gained the deep respect and fondness of the British public when she organised concerts at noon everyday in London during the Blitz.

Although often considered a musician more than a pianist, she had an incredible technique and was one of the few women to perform music like the two Brahms concertos in public. The CD includes the piece to whose name Hess became indelibly associated, Bach's Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire.

Over 150 minutes of music on two CDs for the price of one.
